Funny, I remember seeing complete 930 engines for 10k back in the late 90's. Always wanted to put one in an OG Beetle and race Porsches for slips. Even imagined a spring loaded baffle that would allow for the beetle exhaust at idle but turn to a dump at WOT.
Ah, to dream.

Do you think there i s any value in parts speculation? I always wonder about figuring out the top niche pricy part that no one remakes for special cars and buying a couple if still available. Probably too expensive to store the stuff. You always hear about a guy who bought the dealers stock when they went out of business and he has racks of unobtanium parts in perfect NOS condition. He probably also pays rent on the literal tons of shit parts no one will ever need.
